Hey Everyone. I recently received information about a group playing pick-up games in the north area. You can find more info on the spoccer website as well as at http://www.spoccer.com/teams/Mens_Fall_2008_Soccer.doc. There is also contact info for the pick-up games at that location.
There have also been quite a few requests from people asking to move the start time on the weekends to 5PM so that loss of daylight will not be a factor. So we will move the start time on Saturday and Sunday from 6PM to 5PM starting this weekend, September 6th.
If you have any questions please let me know.

Sakura Suprise Sushi Find |
|
Sep 04, 2008 - 12:20 AM - by natstach

Surprisingly fresh and innovative sushi found next to Home Team BBQ on HWY 61. Though deceiving from it's outside appearance, this pleasantly attractive and clean restaurant is very inviting. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive, but most importantly the food was delicious. I started off with the seaweed salad. It was a generous serving and fresh. We were given a free appetizer from the non english speaking Sushi chef that consisted of fried wontons, spicy tuna, and sesame seeds. We enjoyed several rolls including the Godzila Roll, the Triple Roll (daily special), and 2 orders of Tuna Nigiri.
We look forward to going back. I highly recommend this restaurant for a date night.

What a little lighting can do. It never fails, so many people overlook building a great lighting scheme into their decor budget, they figure string (twinkle, christmas, whatevs) will do the trick, but with that you only get the same ol' thing! I highly encourage looking into professional lighting! See?! What a transformation from day to night.

Below, a great pic of an entire tent lighting scheme, and some other details from this beautiful wedding!

Fat Hen Update |
|
Jul 08, 2007 - 1:40 PM - by imported_pecheney

Chef Colin Flynn has taken a Sous Chef position with Chef Fred Neuville at Fat Hen on Johns Island. He was previously the chef at Six Tables in Mount Pleasant. This looks to be very, very interesting... Any word on an actual opening date yet?

From the Fat Hen website ::
After six years of serving some of the most delectable food in Charleston, Chef Fred Neuville announced that he will be resigning as executive chef of 39 Rue de Jean, COAST, and Good Food Catering, to open his own restaurant, Fat Hen.
“The two things I love most in life are my family and cooking, so it only seemed natural to make a move where I can enjoy both together. Fat Hen will be a neighborhood restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere – a cozy spot where I can showcase my signature dishes and share some of my favorite bottles of wine,” states Neuville.
Fat Hen, paying homage to Charleston’s Huguenot culture with a menu of French-inspired southern fare, will be located at 3140 Maybank Highway on Johns Island in the small cottage once home to the St. Johns Island Café. The... [Read More]
