Voodoo Lounge is the perfect place to be seen in the hip Avondale neighborhood. Savor a tropical rum drink served in a classic Zombie glass or a Voodoo 18 with straws for four. The food is equally funky and tropical, with such tastes as duck tacos, a pupu platter complete with mini-grill in the center, and crawfish spring rolls, all part of a menu that helps balance the potent cocktails. The cheap and flashy but somehow still stylish décor provides a campy setting that is lighthearted yet offbeat enough to be interesting. The veggie tacos are stuffed full of white beans and red pepper sauce, and all the tacos are served in pairs with spicy carrot and jalapeño relish.
